Vintage Fine Objects
Kevin Austin launched the Vintage Fine Objects brand in January 2013 with a bricks-and-mortar shop in Toronto’s Queen Street East neighbourhood. The Vintage Fine Objects collection consists of the best accents from the past with the quality, style and design integrity to enhance today’s interiors. In 2016, Kevin moved Vintage Fine Objects from a bricks-and-mortar shop to an Instagram and private sale business, catering to discerning collectors and interior design trade clients. VFO continues with online and private off-line selling but now occupies a loft-style studio space for in-person shopping by appointment or on open house Market Days.
Kevin J. Austin, the owner and principal of Vintage Fine Objects, is a more than 20-year veteran of the antiques and vintage furnishings trade. Kevin got his start in the business sourcing antiques for propping CBC TV’s Street Legal as well as apparel trade showrooms. Kevin’s earlier shops, At Home Antiques & Accessories and Chair, Table, Lamp combined contemporary and antique furniture, lighting and accessories. After selling his Chair, Table, Lamp brand Kevin decided to focus on only vintage and antique items. He curates the Vintage Fine Objects collection with a sharp eye to the latest interior design looks and is a trusted source for interior designers. Kevin has a flair for creative merchandising, installation and set styling and uses these skills to serve corporate and private clients, in addition to his retail and wholesale sourcing.
